The code for workout log 2.0 can be viewed on my Github!
The Problem for Workout Log 2.0
First off, I had never developed a mobile application before. I wanted to learn about the development cycle for Android. I eventually decided to download Android Studio and create an application.
The Idea behind Workout Log 2.0
For my first application I wanted to build a simple connected user interface. I have always enjoyed exercise and have used many workout log applications. Finally I decided to see if I could build my own workout log.
The Solution for Workout Log 2.0
I quickly began to see why android development is a popular choice among developers. In order to create the user interface I was able to drag and drop components into the phone mockup.
After I finished the framework of the user interface I began connecting it to the code. The provided documentation for Android development was a great tool. Since I had already programmed primarily in Java it made the transition quick and easy.
Screenshots of Finished Project
This project has been currently put on hold to make time for my education and career. If given more time I would like to add a SQLite database. Adding a database would make storing and accessing workout information clean and organized.
